On the work

“A pharmaceutical company with a large portfolio of mature products came to us for marketing strategy advice in Mexico. Part of the work involved riding around with the sales reps and visiting different doctors and pharmacies. The process there is much different from here in the States—physician and prescription data is not readily available down there. For many other projects, we are in our office analyzing the numbers, but this time we got to actually see how the reps were interacting with the doctors, what their specific challenges were, and also what kind of sales rep personality was necessary to get the job done.”

On ZS values

Get It Right: “The people who work on Latin Amreican projects have worked with each other so much. We know that every other member is dedicated to each project, and we know everyone will do his or her best. This is simply implicit in each piece of work we submit. Sometimes we have to work late to get it done right, but we all agree that we will provide superior quality work, no matter what it takes.”

On life outside work

“I enjoy traveling to new places. Last year we visited Asia, and we got to see Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and China. Traveling abroad and experiencing different cultures really opens your mind and gives you a different perspective on a lot of things. Closer to home, I like to golf. There is an 18-hole course near the office that I sometimes play.”

On the Evanston office

“The very first time I came to the States, I lived in Evanston to attend Kellogg, so the city is very special to me. It’s a quiet city, but there is a lot to do and a lot of life to it. I live very close to work, so being able to walk to the office every morning is priceless. In summer, there are festivals, like the Ravinia Park concerts, where the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and other artists come to play. People can enjoy a picnic out on the lawn listening to live world class music.”
