Memories of MIT: Though not a fond memory, I recall walking to class across the H*rv*rd bridge on cold winter mornings with the wind blowing up the river at 30 miles an hour, my nose freezing closed every time I inhaled, and cursing all 364.4 Smoots (plus one ear) of length.

On the work
"All of my work at ZS thus far has been in the incentive compensation practice area for pharmaceutical clients. Although IC admin is an operational area without a final 'outcome,' we made numerous improvements to the client's compensation plan, and used those improvements to help win a longer contract for IC work into the future. One of the benefits of having worked on the long term project is that I have become an expert in the IC practice area, and an expert about the clients with whom I have worked. I now get several calls a week from other project teams asking about IC plan design or about the structure and culture of the client.
"I am currently working with our Software Development group on an overhaul of Prism™, a proprietary software package that we use for administration of compensation plans across several industries."
On ZS values
Treat People Right: "Beyond skills and initiative, all the people I have worked with at ZS, from Associates to Principals, have been quality individuals. People are honest, courteous, and I have encountered no 'office politics' (quite a change from my previous job). When you do a good job, it gets recognized."
On life outside work
"When I'm not working, the thing I like to do best is spend time with my wife, Alisa, and two daughters (Samantha, 3 1/2 and Lauren, 1 1/2). Summer in the Chicago area is wonderful. We spend a lot of time going to free outdoor concerts, and have a membership at the Brookfield Zoo. The girls love the animals! When I'm not working, or spending time with my family, I play golf (unfortunately, I had to miss the ZS golf outing this year, so my team was unable to defend our championship from last year), and bicycle (road and mountain)."
On the Evanston office
"Evanston is a fantastic place to work. It has easy access to downtown Chicago via train, and easy access to the north suburbs via car. There are dozens of restaurants within walking distance for a quick lunch, and because it is home to Northwestern University, there is always something going on."
