Education

UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA, Darden School of Business
M.B.A., 2006

Activities at Darden: Marketing Club officer, NAWMBA (GWIB) Officer, Consulting Club, Christmas in April Captain, Darden Days coordinator

Memories of Darden: Darden is a great place, and I love going back now to visit friends who are still in Charlottesville, or just to enjoy the area. Nothing beats a cold beer on the downtown mall, or grabbing a quick breakfast with friends at Bodo's. Nights of celebrating case completion at TNDC were a blast, and could only be complemented by a tasty gus burger. The Marketing Club Brand Challenge was a great way to see friends being creative, and the International Food Festival always left me impressed by my classmates' gourmet abilities.

THE COLLEGE OF WILLIAM & MARY
B.S. in Biology, 1999

Activities at William & Mary: Kappa Alpha Theta, Club Volleyball, Club Softball

Memories of William & Mary: I loved taking a nice run down DOG street to work off delicious sandwiches from the Cheese Shop. Spring in Williamsburg is beautiful, and it was always great to set up a volleyball net in the Sunken Gardens and play a quick pick up game, or to lay on the grass in the warm sun while "studying."

ZS Career Path

Consultant, 2006

On the work

"I helped a mid-sized Pharma company design their sales force incentive compensation plans and set goals that would be fair, clear, and rewarding. My role was to coordinate work between our client and our ZS team in the US and Pune. On the client side, I worked with our main client contact and the company's stakeholders to determine the plans' structures for the salesforce, and to get their buy in for the goals that we set. On the ZS side, I worked with an associate in Pune, a consultant in the Princeton office, and my manager to ensure we created plans and goals that would fit our client's needs. The outcome was the creation of IC plans and goals that were launched to the Sales Force and used to determine their Incentive Compensation.

"I also worked with a biotechnology company to size and align a new sales force that would promote a launch product to hospitals. My role was to work with an associate and manager in the Princeton office to use the client's market research and available sales data to determine how to estimate the market potential of this new product. From there we used ZS's MAPS® system to create a sparse alignment (i.e. place the sales reps in territories around the nation and determine what hospital accounts they would target and detail). The outcome of this project was that the new sales force will be implemented in the next month and will begin selling the launch product this coming fall."

On ZS values

Treat People Right: "I love all the activities we have in the Princeton office. While we do work hard, we are often rewarded with little thoughtful things such as: Back to school lunches, Pizza Parties, Poker Tournaments, March Madness, visits from Santa Claus, Office trick or treating, Valentine's day cupcakes, etc. The little things matter, and show that ZS wants to treat its people right, and recognize the importance of a job well done."

On life outside of work

"Outside of work I enjoy playing sports (softball, volleyball, basketball). I like to read, and I love TV. TiVo is one of my favorite inventions, and I'm frequently heard quoting favorite TV or movie lines. I also like to visit friends from Darden and W&M, so I'll take short trips to various parts of the country to keep in touch."

On the Princeton office

"Since I enjoy playing sports, the Princeton office is great, especially in the summer. We are part of a softball and volleyball league. It's great to leave the office, play sports for an hour and have a good time. It's definitely one of the advantages of being part of a larger office. I also love to take advantage of Princeton's beautiful surroundings. On a nice day, it's great to take a run on the canal path, and I'm always envious of the people canoeing and kayaking on the canal. Downtown Princeton is also great because you can go down and take a nice walk and shop, then grab a coffee and sit in one of the little squares and people watch."
