On the work
“Currently I'm working on 2.5 projects. Project 1 is for the head of a vaccine business in Spain to make strategic recommendations for a product relaunch based on new clinical trial data. Project 2 is for a European sales force effectiveness manager of a large medical device company to create training and change management materials to support a ZS designed data collection and reporting system. Project .5 is for a global market research manager to design and execute a 13 country quantitative tracking study for a portfolio of injectable pharmaceutical brands. Although the projects vary in team size, geography, and project type my general role on each one is to manage the project process to coordinate input from team members to deliver high impact insights to our clients.”
On ZS values
“I am amazed every day by people exemplifying our values. ZSers go above and beyond the call of duty to get the right answer for the client (yes, that can mean late hours) and help each other in challenging situations (this can also means late hours). It also means working in a fun and high-impact environment where you are learning and contributing every day. In a recent example a project team took on more work (the .5 project –see above!) so I could work with another project team which needed my expertise and was an opportunity for me to work with a new client.”
On life outside ZS
“I love to travel, play tennis, and spend time with my dog Violet a schipperke from California. Being a consultant and having a dog can be a challenge but here in Switzerland there are plenty options such as boarding school! The Swiss like dogs more than people so it has been a great way to integrate with the local culture.”
On the Zurich office
“The food, the culture, the lake, the Alps, the dog loving Swiss people...what is not to love!? I moved to Zurich to work with the all star ZS team who came from all over the company to build the office. We are a mix of Brits, North Americans (in case my Canadian office mate reads this), and Europeans who have become a close knit group both inside and outside of the office.”
