Education

UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE, Churchill College
B.A. in Mathematics, 2004

Activities at Cambridge: I got stuck into most aspects of college life including rugby (my treasured pink and brown boys!), politics (JCR vice-pres. / treasurer), the social side (Dambuster's president and Bulldog's member) and obviously my degree (Maths).

Memories of Cambridge: Many nights at the renowned Churchill Pav, clashes at Grange Road, the brilliant post-exam bliss of May Week, and a couple of very confused hours in the library.

Associate Consultant, 2008

On the work

"I have worked on a forecast for a drug soon to be launched and am currently working on a strategic project to advise a company on how to deal with the expiration of the patent of their lead product. Both projects have involved the design and construction of VBA tools, research into the theraputic area and work with ZSers from multiple countries. My current project will also involve some travel and will take me to Paris next week and probably New York at the end of the month."

On ZS values

Do the Right Thing: "I think the aspect of life as ZS that I like best is the extent of open communication between people throughout the company. From NEO, where I met the founders of the company, to everyday working life where you work with people from all over the globe and across every position (from fellow BAs to principals)."

On life outside work

"I remain very keen with meeting up with as many friends from college and school as possible which has been quite a bit considering that most have accumulated here in London. I am also trying, unsuccessfully, to keep fit (get fit) which currently is based around too few evening runs (with ZSers around Hyde Park or on my own back to my flat) in preparation for a half marathon! I am also a keen traveller having returned from my Gap Year last June."

On the London office

"The London office is superbly located for three reasons, each of which would be sufficient on their own. Firstly, being next to Hyde Park is brilliant come the evening runs and also, I expect, in the summer come lunchtimes. Secondly, it being one minute walk from the end of Oxford Street and thirdly the fact that I can run back to my flat in about 25 minutes!"
