Memories of Wisconsin: Friday nights at the union terrace are definitely the best way to spend a summer in Madison. I would suggest all UW students check this out. I would also recommend the many biking trails in the city (especially the Cap City Trail, the Arboreteum, and the Quarry).

On the work
“My ongoing project with an incentive compensation tool has been my favorite. The tool determines the eligibility of sales reps for incentive compensation and calculates payment. I am working on the business rules portion of the software. I enjoyed it because the product we created really added value for the client. Processes that used to take them two days now only take them one or two hours to complete. It was a challenging piece of software that required a lot of thought, patience, and creativity—all reasons that I have enjoyed working on it so much.”
On ZS values
Get It Right: “There isn’t anybody in the Software Development group that isn’t a great programmer. Anyone can be a resource when you have a problem and everyone is willing to help. Being around these people promotes excellence in your own work and highlights the ZS value of getting it right. This group of people always gets it right.”
On life outside work
“I enjoy biking on the lakefront. I live two blocks from the lake in Wrigleyville. I like the outdoors, camping, and mountain biking, when I have time. Otherwise, I am playing around on my computer.”
On the Evanston office
“Working in Evanston is nice because there are so many places to have lunch, and there are a lot of stores if you need something. And in the summer there is something going on every weekend. Downtown there are a lot of cultural events to experience, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Contemporary Art are both great.”
