Fun fact
“I am a living organ donor.”
On joining ZS
“I graduated from Carleton College with a degree in Economics. I interviewed with my boss when she was at her previous company. She remembered me when she was hiring at ZS.”
On life outside work
“I enjoy rollerblading, going to the gym and new episodes of The Simpsons.”
On working at ZS
What is something you really like about working for ZS?
“Most of the developers are recent grads, so they are open to new ideas and improving their process. And collaboration is very big around here. You can always find someone to help, even from people on other projects.”
What is something interesting/challenging you’ve worked on lately?
“I was the QA lead for a brand-new web application. I worked closely with the developers for months to ensure that we delivered a great software application with minimal problems. And we got to travel to another office for its debut at a conference of principals and managers.”
On commuting to work
“Argggh. At the moment I live in the far NW suburbs and have an awful commute. But it's definitely worth it.”
On getting project help
“Either send an email and then usually get a very quick response, or wheel my chair over to the nearest person who I think has the answer.”
On advice for candidates searching for a test development position
“Listen carefully when you’re asked a question. And take a minute to formulate your response before speaking. We value correct answers over speedy replies.”
