Working on multiple projects allows you to build new skills and develop over time. At ZS, we think of consulting as an apprenticeship. You learn from more experienced team members who have more expertise in a specific industry, a type of analysis or tool development. You ease into increasing levels of responsibility as you learn, and you take on an increasingly larger role in areas such as project coordination, client management, methodology development or system design.
Each employee works with his/her Professional Development Manager to define objectives for professional growth, as well as to identify areas for professional development either as a new learning experience or as a means of furthering expert knowledge. Through those developmental discussions, we identify opportunities for people to work in different offices, in new practice areas, or towards developing new concepts or tools to be used in our work. Career development is a joint responsibility. We provide you with support and guidance and count on you to take an active role in seeking professional growth opportunities.
