ZS Associates Names New Leader for Market Access and Pricing Practice

EVANSTON, IL — May 6, 2009 — Ed Schoonveld, a 20-year veteran of the pharmaceutical and consulting industries, recently joined global consulting firm ZS Associates as principal and leader of the company’s market access and pricing practice. Schoonveld is based in the company’s Princeton, N.J. office.

“I’m excited to work with the ZS team to help clients better understand the nuances of the complex and ever-changing global payer and managed care environment and develop strategies to improve market access through effective pricing and value strategies,” Schoonveld said.

Before joining ZS, Schoonveld served as vice president of global pricing and reimbursement for Bristol-Myers Squibb. His other experience includes leadership positions in pricing, health outcomes and general management for companies such as Wyeth and Eli Lilly. Schoonveld has extensive consulting experience in global market access and pricing as a consulting practice leader at Cambridge Pharma/IMS, Analytica International and his own consulting firm.

Schoonveld earned a master’s degree in aeronautical engineering from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and an MBA in finance and international business from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles.
